POPULATION 1: From the depths of a bunker comes one man’s musical send off to the world’s last empire. A twisted history lesson from punk favorite Tomata du Plenty (The Screamers) featuring members of Los Lobos, Vampira, the notorious El Duce (Kurt and Courtney), Fluxus artist Al Hansen and his Grammy-winning grandson Beck, among many others. Deliriously cramming 200 years of American mayhem into one punk rock musical, Daalder’s anarchic vision unfolds:

***we still haven’t determined what the future holds for Cinema Nolita video store – we raised 3/4 of our goal through fundraising- that’s $6000!!! which is insane and awesome to have all that support from friends and customers + we had a blast throwing the benefits- alas we still don’t have a viable solution for a permanent home for this little shop- essentially we are at risk of getting the boot from our current location at any moment come Sept. 1st. thus we are on the prowl for an alternative location but haven’t found anything cheap enough yet.
